Actually, I’m still locked out. Just waiting, wishing, HOPING someone will come home soon. It’s really cold out here.
I’ve been here for over an hour and a half and I’ve actually accomplished quite a lot. I started this little time period of impatient waiting by getting the rest of my homework done for this week and starting into my reading for next week (good thing I had my laptop with me). But, once that got boring and my fingers became numb, I knew I needed a plan of action.
I started by going around to all our big windows in the basement hoping one would be open. No luck. Then feeling very cold and extremely hungry, I think I started to loose my head a bit.
I even made an attempt at climbing through this window, which I guess I should’ve realized that there was no way in the universe I would make it through something that small, because as you can see it isn’t much bigger than a basketball. But then again, when you’re desperate anything can seem possible.
I also thought about seeking refuge at a neighbor’s house, but then I realized the only people in the ward I know are 3 years old or younger. This is due to the fact that in the year and a half we’ve lived here I have held a nursery calling and a sunbeam calling. How creepy would it be of me to show up to someone’s house saying, Oh hey so and so, I know your daughter, who is three, I’m locked out, can I come in and have some hot cocoa pleeease.
Although it was tempting.
I haven’t eaten at all today because, like most mornings, I was in a rush to make it to class on time. Luckily in my last class we had some friendly competition in which the winning group won a huge Costco sized bag of candy and generously shared. And now I"m kicking myself for not choosing more carefully, because I just can't bring myself to eat the Milky Ways and 3 Musketeers, no matter how hungry I feel.
But honestly, I don't know how much longer I can stand it.
So if you don’t hear from me soon, please come check the back porch steps where I may be frozen alive.

OH my I'm sorry you're locked out because it is FREEZING today. You should really just go to a neighbors house. That is how you get to know people, right? Okay, it might be a little creepy. Sorry girl, Hope your husband comes home soon and saves you.
P.S. I really love the picture at the top of your blog. It is beautiful.

Bryan! You should have come over. I literally live right around the corner from you. Though I will admit, this post gave me a good laugh. I'm glad I found your blog!

1) This is SO sad.
2) What are the odds you wouldn't have a key the ONE time Trevor and I leave the house?
3) I will eat your Milky Ways.
Best. Post. Need. More. Or did you really freeze TO DEATH.
Your blog is so funny. Goil, I love you. Please post more!
I cannot tell you how many times Greg and I locked ourselves out of that basement apartment. I think it was at least 4 times - maybe more. Several times we had to buy a new knob and lock because Greg had to basically break the whole thing to open the door. Glad you didn't freeze to death :)
I sure wish you would keep your blog up to date. Listening to your wit once a year, even though it was in person, is certainly NEVER enough.
